Tina Haggerty opened Body Essence in 2008.  She has been a Registered Nurse since 1990 with a BSN Degree.  Tina is a Master Esthetician, Certified Color Science make-up Specialist, Certified Laser Technician, Candela Laser trained and attended Aesthetics Advancements post graduate training in the use of Botox and Dermal fillers.

DR. HARRY CAMPER, M.D, FACOG

Dr. Camper founded L’idee medical spa and has been involved in bringing innovative health care to the area for 25 years.  He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.  He is dedicated to helping each individual identify a health care plan that will allow them to achieve ultimate health and make them feel good about being healthy.

ALENA HARRIS
Esthetician, Laser Technician, Makeup Artist, Wax Specialist

Alena has completed her Esthetician training at Mitchells Academy in Cary, NC in 2010. Since graduating she has continued to attend advanced training courses and seminars to further her education in the esthetics field and to stay up to date in the skin care industry. Alena is certified in microdermabrasion, chemical peels, makeup application and waxing. Alena has a passion for skin and she truly loves what she does. She understands the proper skin care regimen from performing procedures to recommending a good at home skin care regimen. In 2011, Alena got certified by Nova Laser in Stafford, VA to perform Laser Hair Removal, Photo Rejuvenation, Vein Reduction, and Skin Tightening.

SUSAN VINCENT
Esthetician

Susan has been an esthetician, nail technician and waxing technician for 10 years. She studied at Regina’s School of Faces and received her nail technician license through Valley Vocational Technical School. Previously, she owned Body & Soul Day Spa in Staunton, VA, but sold that business in 2010. She has always loved giving facials.
Her specialty is blending the art of good facial techniques to create glowing, younger looking skin with relaxation techniques. Over the years, she has learned
that this unique combination produces a far better facial and a very happy client!

MICHELLE PUFFENBARGER
Certified Laser Technician

In 2011, Michelle got certified by Nova Laser in Stafford, VA to perform Laser Hair Removal, Photo Rejuvenation, Vein Reduction, and Skin Tightening. She became interested in this when she started getting laser hair removal treatments and facial treatments to help control her oily skin and sun damage she gained over the years. The results have been so successful that she since has wanted to help others look and feel great too.

MARYBETH THOMPSON
Massage Therapist

MaryBeth graduated from the Virginia School of Massage in 2004. She is trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and  Myofascail Release. She is Nationally Certified by the NCBTMB and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

ANITA SMITH
Certified and Licensed Acupuncturist

Anita received a Master of Acupuncture degree at Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts in Laurel, Maryland and is a board certified Acupuncturist by the NCCAOM. Prior to this she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. Anita practices Classical and 5 Element Acupuncture as well as Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. She is also a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist meaning she is qualified to support people recovering from various addictions. She is excited to introduce the art of Acupuncture to Body Essence And L’Idee.

APRIL WRIGHT
Hair Designer, Makeup Artist, Wax Specialist

April started in the beauty industry in 1996. She has continued to keep up her education traveling all over the United States to seminars, conferences, and hands-on classes to keep up with the latest trends and fashions while also providing a look that best suits her guests. Her notable references: Roy Peters Academy, The Mid-Atlantic Beauty Conference, Redken Exchange NYC – Coloring Out of Your Mind, Redken Exchange NYC – Cutting Over the Top, and in salon training with Chris Baran, Sam Villa, Kristi Valenzuela to name just a few. In 1999 April graduated from Von Lee International School of Aesthetics where she received her makeup artistry license. Most recently as of January 2011 she went back to Von Lee and got certified in Eyebrow Threading.

REBECCA CARROLL
Hairstylist, Receptionist

Becky is trained as a hair stylist, she is also trained in teeth whitening.

Make-Up Artist

Judy is trained in Jane Iredale and Gustavo makeup applications, she enjoys assisting clients in finding the correct makeup products and skin care needs.
